Role Overview
Reporting to the Business Area Manager, Warfield & Sulphur Products, the Shipping Clerk, Fertilizer (temporary) is responsible for preparing all documentation associated with the shipment of fertilizer products and the coordination of all movement in and out of the plant by truck and railcar. The incumbent will also maintain and report on maintenance systems, provide office and clerical services and receptionist for the Fertilizer Operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures
- Operate and maintain the computerized shipping system (EDI); input shipping and production data for the International Raw Materials sales office and generate documentation for shipping products.
- Ensure each shipment has the necessary bills of lading and custom documents. Supply information to CPR for Fastway routing patterns.
- Ensure availability of product, trucks and railcars; consulting and coordinating with IRM and the Group Superintendent, Fertilizer.
- Utilize effective communication skills and tact when advising truckers of Company rules, directing them to appropriate areas and coordinating the flow of traffic in and out of the plant.
- Monitor Dustrol levels; coordinate with the plant and vendor. Order deliveries of Dustrol when required.
- Perform Maintenance Clerk and stenographic duties.
Qualifications
- Applicants must have previous Maintenance Clerk/Shipping Clerk experience utilizing a computerized shipping system. (SAP, Word, Excel, JDE, Qlikview, Ge Plant Apps, SharePoint)
- A Certification in Applied Business Technology and/or a Diploma in Business Administration is preferred
- Effective communication skills are also necessary. Ability to adapt to changes on demand.
- The successful candidate must be able to work shift work. (4x3 Days)
Pay Range: $42.95/hr
