About The Role We are actively seeking an Electrical Supervisor to lead and coordinate E&I teams, ensure safe and reliable operations, optimize maintenance activities, drive performance and inclusivity, and collaborate across departments to enhance electrical, instrumentation, and control systems while supporting operational excellence, continuous improvement, and mine plan objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate Electrical and Instrumentation (E&I) personnel while promoting a courageous safety culture and compliance with all safety and environmental procedures.
  • Interpret electrical and instrumentation documentation, including single-line diagrams, loop diagrams, P&IDs, and schematics, to support maintenance and troubleshooting activities.
  • Plan, organize, and assign maintenance activities for E&I teams and onsite contractors in alignment with the maintenance program.
  • Mentor and develop team members, providing feedback, setting clear expectations, and fostering an inclusive, high‑performance work environment.
  • Ensure the proper functioning of electrical, instrumentation, and control installations while consistently processing and recording all E&I work orders.
  • Identify inefficiencies, participate in improvement projects, and implement operational enhancements to support maintenance, production, and reliability goals.
  • Collaborate with supervisors, engineers, and multidisciplinary teams to meet shift deliverables and contribute to operational reliability and mine plan objectives.
  • Conduct worksite inspections, lead safe work observations, participate in investigations, and ensure equipment and shift logs are accurate and communicated appropriately.

Job Qualifications Key Skills & Knowledge:

  • Certified Electrical, Electrical Engineer, E&I Technician or degree in a related program.
  • Certificate of Qualification in Ontario or skilled trade certificate (Red Seal) is preferred.
  • Completed apprenticeship is required.

Relevant Experience

  • A minimum of 7 years of related work experience, with at least 1 year of related leadership experience.
  • Previous experience in an industrial environment (specifically mineral processing) is considered an asset.

Skills & Strengths, We Value

  • Basic knowledge of high voltage equipment, large AC motors, VFDs, Switchgears, MCCs, PLCs and instrumentation.
  • Knowledge of applicable codes and legislation in electricity.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage and empower multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Proven communication skills, both verbal, written and non-verbal.
  • Proficiency in computer applications and maintenance softwares.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure.
  • A valid Ontario drivers license is required.
  • Understand efficiency drivers in a mining operation.
  • Self-motivated individual who is driven to find solutions and strive for continuous improvement in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
