Nortera is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Engineering Intern to join our team. This is a summer internship reporting to the Project Engineer, the Engineering Intern will gain hands-on exposure to the planning, design, and construction phases of infrastructure manufacturing and processing projects.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist in project administration including writing reports, gathering information, drafting proposals, drafting
correspondence, tracking project costs and completing progress reports - Perform simple structural design calculations and computer data entry
- Complete other engineering/administrative duties as required
- Other duties as may be assigned
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google applications
- Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Self-motivated with a strong willingness to learn and take initiative
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize and take direction
- Education and experience in progress toward earning a Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field
- Standing, sitting, walking, hand/eye coordination, finger/wrist dexterity,
grasping/pinching - Typical office environment working with computers
- Walkthroughs in operations
- Hourly wage is $24.00 - $26.00/hour.
