About the role

Alliance Technical Group is hiring a Technical Project Manager to join our team in the Toronto, ON area! Summary/Objective The Technical project Manager reports to the Operations organization but works closely with all divisions of AST to ensure project success, improve KPI performance and quality of test reports/test plans.

Essential Functions

  • Must be able to communicate effectively.

  • Internally – Vice Presidents, Regional Managers, Operations Manager, Analytical Services, Project Managers, Reporting Department

  • Externally – Customers, Vendors

  • Assists the Operations team in driving the Alliance culture and processes to the testing teams.

  • Assists Operations team with lab selection and communication.

  • Prepares or reviews Test Plan for assigned group of offices.

  • Prepares or reviews Test Reports for assigned group of offices.

  • Perform templates and chain of custody audits and provide feedback through non-conformancereporting.

  • Assist Operations Manager with the technical aspect of the proposal.

  • Participate in pretest calls as requested by Operations Manager.

  • Flexibility: Must be available to work outside normal work hours to complete projects.

  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task while remaining focused on all tasks.

  • Attention to detail.

  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Pay Range $100,000-120,000 CAD, annually

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma required. AS or BS degree preferred (Science and Engineering related fields ideal)
  • 5+ years of experience in Stack Testing
  • Proficient skill level of Microsoft Office Suite. Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel.
  • Working knowledge of EPA and local regulatory isokinetic and wet test methods and QA/QC requirements
  • Working knowledge of EPA and local regulatory instrumental methods and performance specifications and QA/QC requirements
  • Professional appearance and behaviour.
  • Legally entitled to work in Canada.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Knowledge of USEPA and applicable provincial and federal emissions regulations
  • Proficient in MS Office programs, including MS Word and Excel
  • Ability to read, count, and write to accurately complete all documentation.
