WildBrain Studios is looking for Senior Lighter/Compositor Artist to join our team!
Start date will be in early March 2026.
Reporting to the Producer and working with the Lighting/Comp Supervisor, you will demonstrate a broad range of lighting abilities to conceptualize and create the overall look, attitude, and style of character and set within the production. You will work collaboratively with the lighting and compositing team to create high quality aesthetic and technical work.

Responsibilities & Qualifications
What You'll Do:
- Light sequence key shots based on art direction using templates set up by leads.
- Light key shots and deliver on time and to the expected quality standards.
- Be the point of contact and reference for the lighting of your assigned sequences, ensuring the rest of the lighting/compositing team can work efficiently with your setups.
- Train and advise the lighters/compositors to efficiently propagate your key shots lighting to their shots.
- Collaborate and maintain regular communication with other team members and production.
- Work within the lighting and rendering pipeline and troubleshoot common technical issues.
- Identify and report any issues that arise that may affect timelines or delivery schedules.
What You'll Bring:
- 3+ years of experience in animation or film industry
- Experience with Gaffer, or node-based software like Katana/Solaris, and Nuke
- Previous experience in lighting and compositing in animated series/feature film
- Good understanding of modelling, texturing, shading, lighting, compositing and rendering workflows
- Ability to take direction, collaborate and be a team player
- Ability to communicate creative and technical thoughts and ideas in a professional and positive manner
- Ability to multitask, prioritize and manage time efficiently
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team, often with multiple tasks and under deadline pressure
- Encouraging attitude towards feedback and new initiatives
- Ability to adapt to multiple show styles
- Flexibility, openness to direction, and ability to embrace change
- Flow Production Tracking software knowledge is a nice to have
This is a Union position and the terms and conditions of employment are covered by a collective agreement.

Pay Range:
$1390 - $1950 CAD per week based on a 40-hour work week.
Candidates are paid within the range posted, but their exact pay will vary based on the level, responsibilities and expectations of the role. We also take into consideration the experience and skills that individual brings, with consideration of our internal equity.
