The Opportunity

The Corporate Services Branch is seeking ahighly organized, customer focused, and energetic team player to fill the role asAccommodations Consultant.

Reporting to the Director, Financial, Planning, and Operations, the successful candidate will be responsible for leading tenant improvement projects, space management, Occupational Health and Safety Coordinator including Central Incident Resource responsibilities and overseeing administration of the CVA fleet and parking policy for the Ministry.

The Accommodations Consultant is responsible for:

  • assisting in the delivery of Ministry space management, accommodation building leases, capital construction, and office security services;
  • overseeing management of the CVA fleet and leading implementation and review of the Ministry parking policy/procedures;
  • providing input and advice regarding development of the ministry accommodations and operations policies;
  • overseeing purchasing, procurement, furniture acquisition, and disposition of assets;
  • processing purchases and payments using the PCard and GEM;
  • leading accommodations forecasting and financial activities;
  • representing ministry in consultations with the SaskBuilds and Procurement, landlords and service providers;
  • Other duties include supporting operation of the central mailroom, implementing ministry health and safety initiatives, policies and supporting the ministry’s safety mandate.

This position might require carrying out physical activities such as lifting boxes, delivering documents to other floors, moving furniture, systems panels, mailbags and receivables. Travel may be required in this position, as the Ministry has several field offices throughout the Province.

Success in this role demands****knowledge of:

  • Government procurement practices, contracts, and Financial Administration Manual;
  • Occupational Health and Safety legislation and regulations and accessibility standards;
  • Government processes and decision-making procedures to ensure administrative policies are developed and processes followed that meet government policies;
  • Project management tools and techniques;
  • Word processing, database management tools, spreadsheets and presentation tools.
