About the role

Location: Toronto

Contract Duration: 12 months

Daily Responsibilities:

• Deliver a regulatory program within the constraints of scope, quality, time, and budget and under circumstances involving multiple moderate-probability, moderate-impact risk factors.

• Program-level strategic and workstream level planning, interaction with executive level management, complex issue resolution, excellent communications and team building skills.

• Manage groups of internal employees and contractors allocated to the program to deliver multiple technology capabilities that together satisfy a regulatory commitment.

• Oversight of project scope definition and management, requirements gathering and documentation, time estimating, project schedule development and tracking, project budget management, project status reporting, issue and risk management, contingency planning, and communications across multiple organizational levels.

• Coordination across various workstreams and project teams

• Ensuring auditability and appropriate artifacts are in place to demonstrate the regulatory compliance.

Must have skills:

• 10+ years of experience as Program/Project manager

• 5+ years of experience with Treasury, Equity Derivatives, and Prime Brokerage businesses.

• 10+ years of experience delivering technology and business application solutions in a large-scale, multi-platform systems environment in capital markets divisions of large banks

• Experience with software development lifecycle.

• 5+ years of recent experience with MS Project

• 5+ years of recent experience Jira or Confluence.

Nice to have skills

• Recent experience delivering programs involving front office equity order management, trade execution, and position keeping systems is highly preferred.

• Previous experience with regulatory and compliance in Capital markets space.

Soft Skills Required:

• Proactive and a self-starter

• Ability to work as part of a team, as well as work independently or with minimal direction.

• Excellent written, presentation, and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to handle different user groups

• Crafting and messaging skills for executives and senior stakeholders.

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in related field required.

• PMP Certification is nice to have
