Salary Or Wage: $35.05 per hour

Job Type: Temporary term – 18 months
List of Requirements
- Degree in a field appropriate to the position
- Three years of relevant experience
- Clear criminal record check
- Specialized knowledge of sexualized violence and abusive relationships
- Strong understanding of anti-oppression perspectives and approaches in relation to sexualized violence and abuse for all persons
- Experience working within a feminist and/or social justice organization
- High level of comfort and proficiency in public speaking
- Experience in curriculum development and facilitating workshops
- Understanding of cross-cultural and diversity issues and the ability and experience in supporting persons of all cultures and diverse backgrounds
- Valid BC driver’s license and access to a safe and reliable vehicle
- Valid first aid/CPR certification
List of Duties
- The Sexual Assault Supports Coordinator will be required to provide emotional and practical support that is culturally safe, client centered, and trauma informed to victims of sexual assault including the following:
- Child and youth sexual abuse
- Adults of all ages and gender identities
- Historical or childhood sexual assault
- Parent or caregivers of a child/youth who is a victim of sexual assault
- All 2SLGBTQAI+ individuals
- The Sexual Assault Supports Coordinator will be required to provide:
- Immediate support and safety planning after a sexual assault
- Wellness planning and proactive service referrals
- Service coordination with justice, social, and health partners
- Community outreach and engagement including prevention, education, and awareness-raising.
Additional Details
This is a temporary position for 18 months beginning approximately September 15, 2025, earlier if possible.
