The IT Security Technician is an integral part of the IT Security & Compliance Specialist team, assisting in safeguarding the organization's infrastructure and data from security threats. - Review, categorize and assign incoming tickets, phish reports, quarantine, etc.
- Triage and troubleshoot Cybersecurity issues
- Provide best practice process to end-user for use of IT resources
- Maintain and manage end-user hardware, software, and subscriptions
- Maintaining technical diagrams, and documentation including Incident Response plans
- Cybersecurity software configurations, maintenance, deployment and supported hardware
- Collaborate on and coordinate tasks with other members of the IT Team, including data storage and backup systems
- Meet project deliverables and timelines as assigned
- Scope and manage change management requests to IT Cybersecurity resources
- Provide Remote support to users over shared session and phone
- Resolve help desk tickets as assigned
- Other related duties as assigned
Ideal Qualifications
- 2+ years post-secondary education in computer related field
- 2+ years relevant working experience
- Have working understanding of data maintenance, network infrastructure, Entra ID, Microsoft 365, SharePoint
- Bilingual in English and French considered an asset
- Proficiency in prioritizing support issues to solve mission critical issues first, managing multiple conflicting demands/requests
- Ability to follow procedures and identify gaps as well as their solutions
- Occasional travel may be required; valid driver's license considered a strong asset
