About the Role:

Capgemini’s Financial Services Business Unit is seeking a top-performing Business Development Executive to drive new client acquisition across Canada, with a focus on the Banking and Capital Markets sector. This is a hunter-style sales role —ideal for someone who thrives on identifying, pursuing, and closing new business opportunities.

Note: This role is focused exclusively on new business development . We are not seeking account managers or individuals looking to inherit existing clients. Candidates must be self-starters who excel at building relationships from the ground up and closing net-new deals.

While we value diverse sales backgrounds, this role is best suited for individuals with experience selling IT services and consulting solutions rather than product-based offerings. Candidates with a strong track record in service-based, consultative sales will be most successful.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive new business growth by identifying, qualifying, and closing opportunities with emerging clients in the Financial Services sector.
  • Carry an individual bookings target and build a pipeline from scratch.
  • Penetrate new accounts and develop compelling value propositions tailored to client needs.
  • Lead the sales process across Capgemini’s practice areas and service lines.
  • Provide market insights and competitive intelligence to inform sales strategy.
  • Build and nurture executive-level relationships with prospective clients.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to shape solutions that address client challenges.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • 15+ years of overall industry experience , with 5+ years in direct sales roles focused on new business acquisition .
  • Proven track record of sourcing leads, developing new logos, and closing complex deals.
  • Deep understanding of the Banking and Capital Markets industry and relevant technology solutions.
  • Experience selling IT services in a global delivery model .
  • Demonstrated success in quota-driven roles , ideally with exposure to $10M+ annual targets.
  • Strong consultative selling skills and experience engaging C-level stakeholders .
  • Broad understanding of IT services and emerging technologies.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for growth and innovation.
