The position is based at our Nova Scotia facility and is exclusively in-person.
What will your day-to-day look like?
- Lead a team of managers and/or individual contributors responsible for the coordination of production activities.
- Ensure on-time delivery of all products in its portfolio and coordinate as needed with internal customers.
- Coordinate the planning and allocation of resources and materials for maximum use of manufacturing equipment and personnel.
- Align material flow with delivery plans and coordinate with internal (input material) and external (shop assist) suppliers
- Drive an optimal WIP (work in progress) quantity of parts aligned with delivery plans and best practices for inventory management
- Support the quality vision and the daily management of quality activities including improvements in SRR (scrap repair and rework)
- Responsible for an operational budget and will have to see to the achievement of objectives in terms of efficiency and productivity.
- Define the long-term vision and manage the continuous improvement of manufacturing operations.
- Ensure application of health, safety and environmental policies and improve risk management by improving practices
What do you need to be successful?
- 10+ years of relevant experience in operations/logistics/engineering/procurement management/ project management
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple mandates and projects
- Ability to develop strong relationships with all levels of management
- Decision-making and relational skills
- Ability to influence and act as an agent of change
