We are seeking an Integrated Planning Engineer to join our Integrated Resource Planning Policy & Coordination Department. Under
the direction of the Integrated Planning Coordination Section Head, contribute to the development, implementation and maintenance
of a framework for integrated planning across energy supply and delivery, and the broader energy landscape. Support the planning
and execution of Divisional regulatory processes, including hearings, reviews, and related submissions, ensuring they are
strategically aligned with integrated planning objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development of the framework and processes for integrated planning and related analysis and implement the
 
framework for integrated planning work including for near-term actions arising from the Integrated Resource Plan.
- Coordinate regulatory processes and planning activities for the Integrated Resource Planning Division, such as hearings,
 
reviews, and related submissions.
- Identify and develop tools necessary to achieve effective integrated planning coordination across energy supply and delivery,
 
including tracking of integrated planning items, approval and reporting mechanisms.
- Develop criteria to prioritize integrated planning work according to metrics; identify and recommend scope(s), key strategies
 
and risks for integrated planning work.
- Lead multi-disciplinary and multi-department teams in conducting integrated planning work, prepare recommendations,
 
studies etc., based on representation from all energy supply and delivery planning areas, as well as customer, rates, finance,
wholesale, risk, and other areas with input to integrated planning.
- Research and recommend enhancements for the integrated planning framework to meet the needs of integrated resource
 
planning and facilitate the continuous evolution.
- Analyze and incorporate enterprise strategies, including asset management, customer, economic, environmental, social,
 
impact and other strategies into integrated planning work.
- Identify, and incorporate into integrated planning, influencers from the energy landscape (e.g., reliability, policy, climate
 
change, etc.) to recommend modelling and analysis.
- Prepare written and oral reports and study conclusions and recommendations, and business case analyses for various
 
audiences internal and external to the enterprise.
- Assist in execution of the Integrated Resource Plan Development Process where appropriate and recommend integrated
 
planning work as a result of Integrated Resource Plan learnings.
- Triage and provide analysis in support of responses to inquiries from interested parties.
 
Qualifications:
- Graduate in Engineering from a University of recognized standing with a minimum of six years of related experience.
 - Professional member in good standing with Engineers Geoscientists Manitoba (or willingness and ability to attain within a

specified amount of time).
- Must have completed Standards of Conduct training or be willing to complete within two weeks of start date.
 - Experience in project management would be an asset.
 - Strong communication and relationship building skills.
 - Ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams effectively through transformative initiatives.
 - Strong analytical skills and a high degree of initiative.
 - Knowledge of integrated resource planning and related analysis.
 - A good understanding of the principles of the operation of Manitoba Hydro's energy supply and delivery system as well as the
 
evolving energy landscape.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret technical and engineering problems, processes and results to effectively communicate the
 
information to a broad range of audiences.
- Ability to develop and implement analysis tools as required.
 - A thorough understanding of engineering evaluations and risk analysis.
 - Ability to plan, organize and control activities using good engineering and business judgment.
 
Salary Range
Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. The range for the classification is $47.32-$65.33 Hourly,
$90,677.86-$125,192.08 Annually.
