Job Description:

The Salvation Army Canada & Bermuda Territory is seeking an experienced HR Technology leader to guide the post–go-live sustainment, stabilization, and continuous improvement of our Workday HCM platform . This is a strategic leadership role overseeing system performance, data integrity, governance, and a growing HR Technology team.

As the Director, HR Technology, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our HR systems empower managers, employees, and leaders across the territory while advancing our mission of hope, dignity, and service.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Provide strategic oversight of Workday HCM to ensure alignment with organizational goals and compliance requirements.
  • Lead the sustainment and stabilization of Workday post–go-live, ensuring high system availability and reliability.
  • Optimize system functionality to enhance automation, self-service, and reporting capabilities.
  • Ensure the integrity, security, and accuracy of HR data through audits, monitoring, and proactive controls.
  • Partner with HR, IT, and business leaders to deliver effective technology solutions and improvements.
  • Manage external vendor relationships to ensure high-quality service delivery and value.
  • Oversee the successful rollout of Workday enhancements and other HR technology projects.
  • Build, lead, and mentor a team of HR Technology professionals, fostering service excellence and innovation.
  • Develop and mature HR analytics to enable data-driven decision-making across the organization.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for HR technology governance, audits, and change control.

Key Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, HR, or related field (or equivalent combination of education/experience).
  • 10+ years of HRIS/IT systems management experience with deep expertise in Workday HCM .
  • Strong track record in post–go-live sustainment, stabilization, and system optimization.
  • Experience ensuring regulatory compliance across federal, provincial, and unionized environments.
  • Proven leadership and people management experience with the ability to build high-performing teams.
  • Strong project management skills and familiarity with project lifecycle methodologies.
  • Demonstrated vendor management experience with SaaS providers and integrators.
  • Advanced analytical and data skills, with the ability to translate insights into strategy.
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building, and change management skills.
  • High integrity, discretion, and sensitivity in handling confidential information.

Compensation:

The target hiring range for this position is $135,102.26 to $168,877.83 with a maximum of $202,653.39. Placement in the salary range will be based on factors such as market conditions, internal equity, and candidate experience, skills, and qualifications relevant to the role.
