Role Overview
This role plays a key part in executing proposal submissions, maintaining brand standards, and supporting marketing initiatives that strengthen Durwest’s presence in the market.
Working closely with the Vice President of Business Development, this position works across departments to and develop compelling proposal submissions aligned with defined pursuit strategies. You will also help maintain brand consistency across documentation and support marketing materials and industry engagement initiatives.

Key Focus Areas
Proposal Development + Management

Coordinate and execute proposal development from kick-off to submission in alignment with pursuit strategy

Draft, edit, and format proposal content to ensure clarity, consistency, and alignment with win themes

Liaise with work areas such as Estimating, Preconstruction, Operations, and Finance teams to gather technical and project-specific input
-
Manage proposal schedules, compliance requirements, and submission logistics to ensure on-time delivery

Maintain and continuously improve proposal templates, boilerplate content, and submission checklists
-
Build and maintain a centralized proposal library for efficient content reuse

Update and maintain CRM entries related to pursuits and pipeline tracking
Brand Standards + Documentation

Maintain and enhance existing document templates and formatting standards

Ensure consistent tone, messaging, and visual identity across internal documentation

Audit and elevate the quality of external materials
-
Maintain centralized content library
Marketing + Business Development Support

Prepare printed materials and branded collateral
-
Assist in preparing client presentations, pitch decks, and award submissions

Support key networking and industry events
-
Provide guidance on social media content to ensure alignment with brand voice
Who You Are
You are a proactive and detail-oriented communications professional who thrives in deadline-driven environments. You enjoy translating technical information into clear, persuasive content and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver polished, professional materials.
You take ownership of your work, maintain high standards, and bring both organization and creativity to everything you produce. You are comfortable balancing multiple concurrent deadlines and are confident working independently while staying aligned with broader business objectives.
Qualifications

Diploma or degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related discipline
-
4 or more years of experience in proposals, marketing, or communications, preferably within construction, architecture, or engineering
-
An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered

Familiarity with RFP/RFQ processes and proposal coordination
-
Strong writing, editing, and formatting skills with exceptional attention to detail
-
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
-
Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, with InDesign or similar software

Virtually all our projects for over 30+ years have been delivered under Project or Construction management as we work exclusively in construction and project management and do not undertake any general contracting or trade contracting work.
