The Project Management Specialist opening is a current vacant position at General Dynamics Land Systems – Canada. The base salary hiring range for this position is $68,000 to $89,000 per year. Once in the role, successful candidates will have the opportunity to progress through the full salary range based on performance. This range reflects the base salary only and does not include additional components of our total compensation package, such as our incentive award program and other rewards like health benefits, employee profit-sharing, retirement savings, and more. If you are selected to move forward in our recruitment process, your recruiter will be able to discuss all details of our total rewards offering with you.** Role Overview As part of the ILS Integrated Product Team (IPT) within The Power Team at GDLS-C, the Project Management Specialist will take on a key role in planning, coordinating, and executing LVM supportability efforts. Responsibilities will include overseeing various aspects of ILS—such as analysis, technical publications, training, provisioning, and in-service support—to ensure GDLS products deliver optimal performance throughout their lifecycle..

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage all aspects of LVM supportability, including logistics analysis, technical documentation, training, and sustainment planning.
  • Liaise with subcontractors to ensure logistics deliverables meet ILS requirements and are completed on schedule.
  • Partner closely with Program and Engineering teams to align schedules, resolve day-to-day issues, and deliver integrated solutions.
  • Support Contract Change Proposal (CCP) and Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) processes, ensuring timely and effective implementation of changes.
  • Assist with Logistics Support Analysis and Technical Publications development to meet customer needs.
  • Execute projects for scope, cost, and schedule control using EVMS and departmental tools.
  • Investigate and recommend corrective actions for logistics-related issues identified in test activities.
  • Attend customer and subcontractor meetings as required, supporting communication and alignment on deliverables.

Required Qualifications

  • University degree or college diploma.
  • 3–5 years of relevant experience in logistics, supportability, or related disciplines.
  • Working knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM).
  • Demonstrated project management skills.
  • Strong communication, organization, and prioritization abilities.
  • High interpersonal skill level with a proven ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Proactive self-starter with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to travel up to 15% (domestic) and 15% (international); must possess or be able to obtain a valid passport.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience across ILS disciplines (logistics, training, supply support, in-service support).
  • Familiarity with heavy vehicle or military system maintenance and support.
  • Knowledge of standards and tools such as S1000D, Arbortext, IsoDraw, VisMockup, MIL-STD-1388, -40051, GEIA-STD-0007B, and SLICWave.
  • Customer-facing experience supporting sustainment or bid and proposal activities.
