Posting Period: December 2, 2025 - December 8, 2025 Position Summary The Personality Disorders Service (PDS) Social Worker (SW) is responsible for providing individual and group treatment to individuals with Personality Disorders, on an outpatient basis, using a variety of therapeutic modalities with a recovery focus. The team strives to improve the clinical outcomes for individuals with personality disorders by engaging in the provision of evidence-based outpatient, outreach and capacity enhancement activities. As a member of this inter-professional team, the PDS Social Worker is responsible for providing expertise to contribute to individual service plans and treatment, to facilitate the intake process and to augment and develop resources across the South Eastern Ontario.

Skills And Qualifications Required

  • Master’s Degree in Social Work
  • Current unrestricted registration with the College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers of Ontario
  • Minimum of three (3) years of progressively responsible, current clinical experience providing evidence based therapeutic services to individuals with personality disorders within a Recovery framework
  • Evidence of education and training in Dialectical Behaviour Therapy; certification preferred
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in facilitating groups using a Dialectical Behavioural Therapy approach
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience consulting with mental health workers and community mental health agencies across the south east, in the design and implementation of evidence-based practices for personality disorders
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in training mental health workers in the delivery of Dialectical Behavioural Therapy groups

Position Responsibilities

  • Provides clinical services such as psychosocial assessments, individual and group therapy, including a Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, and other therapeutic interventions, as directed, to individuals with Personality Disorders with a Recovery framework
  • Supports the intake process for the service as assigned
  • Provides support and community outreach to community partners throughout the region, as a member of the inter-professional team
  • Provides consultation and education to mental health community agencies across the Southeast, on management and treatment of individuals with personality disorders
  • Participates in evaluation, research initiatives, and continuous quality improvement activities for the program
  • Coordinates and executes intake process
  • Participates in recovery-oriented program planning with the inter-professional team
  • Provides supervision to social work students and assists in teaching of all students
