ABOUT THE ROLE The Production Supervisor optimizes daily operations for Greater Calgary’s ready-mix facilities. This role partners with the operations management and the plant leadership to drive operational efficiency, maintain high safety standards, and achieve production targets.
WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH
Champion a 'safety-first' culture by enforcing protocols and proactively identifying environmental and site safety improvements. Assist the operations managers to implement and maintain company policies and procedures. Streamline administrative workflows and reporting to support operational decision-making. Scheduling, coordination, and administrative control of ready-mix plant staff with management. Scheduling, planning and financial tracking of general service, critical plant maintenance, major repairs, improvements and housekeeping with plant supervisors. Manage inventory and procurement of operational supplies and parts, ensuring cost-effectiveness and availability. Assist in environmental preparedness and environmental site safety at all sites. Raw materials inventory control and cost tracking with plant staff. Identification of potential opportunities in product development, capital projects for sustainable improvement based on front line views. Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOREducation: Graduate Diploma or equivalent or a combination of education & experience.Additional Education Preferred: C.E.T, P.Eng, or a combination of the stated an asset but not a requirement. Field of Study Preferred: Civil Engineering. Required Work Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of management/supervisory experience. Minimum of 2-3 years of industrial production experience or related construction industry experience. Required Technical Skills: Microsoft Suite, Google Suite, SAP. Travel Requirements: 10%
Additional Requirements
Ensure consistent and reliable RMX facility operations through active staff support and coordination. Foster seamless collaboration between production and delivery teams to optimize output. Resolve equipment functional issues to maintain peak operational reliability.
Financial & Process Management
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), providing actionable insights for operational improvements. Analyze and optimize work processes to reduce operational costs and drive efficiency. Execute precise coordination of raw materials and specialty product inventory.
Compliance & Reporting
Maintain accurate, timely reporting to support data-driven decision-making. Champion site environmental compliance, preparedness, and response protocols. Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
