Livingstone Range School Division invites applications for a full-time Grade 6 Probationary Division II Numeracy Lead teaching position at Livingstone Range School Division, located at West Meadow Elementary School in Claresholm.

Position Overview
The successful candidate will serve as both a Grade 6 classroom teacher and Division II Numeracy Lead. This role involves providing engaging numeracy instruction while supporting school-wide numeracy development through collaboration, instructional leadership, and evidence-based teaching practices.
The Numeracy Lead will:
- Support and promote effective numeracy instruction across Division II classrooms
- Collaborate with teachers to strengthen mathematics programming and assessment practices
- Analyze student achievement data to inform instructional decisions
- Assist in the development and implementation of school numeracy goals
- Model innovative and differentiated instructional strategies
- Foster a positive learning environment focused on student growth and achievement
Qualifications and Requirements
Preferred candidates will demonstrate:
- Valid Alberta Teaching Certification or eligibility for certification
- Strong understanding of Alberta curriculum and numeracy outcomes
- Experience teaching upper elementary mathematics and numeracy intervention strategies
- Knowledge of differentiated instruction, formative assessment, and inclusive learning practices
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a professional learning community
- Strong classroom management and relationship-building skills
- Commitment to student-centered learning and positive school culture
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Leadership experience or demonstrated capacity to support colleagues in numeracy instruction is considered an asset
- Familiarity with the Leader in Me framework is considered an asset
