About the role

Systems Analyst (Permanent, Full-Time) Location: Peterborough, ON

Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Rate of Pay: Dependent on experience

Position Description As a Systems Analyst, you will:

  • Configure, manage, document and maintain Windows domain-based infrastructure as per standards defined in Kawartha I.T. Governance.
  • Manage, assign and complete Help Desk tickets as required.
  • Perform preventive maintenance, software/hardware upgrades, patch and AV maintenance and firmware upgrades on various systems.
  • Manage, configure and support I.T. systems, as required by different business units.
  • Research, evaluate and recommend new technologies; identify approaches that leverage internal resources and provide economies of scale.
  • Manage, analyze and report on various I.S. systems, hardware and applications.
  • Maintain network and computer system security; participate in regular internal cyber security meetings.
  • Maintain a high level of knowledge on current system standards and I.S. department established methodologies.
  • Serve as subject matter expert, supporting and contributing to the success internal projects.
  • Identify, analyze and respond to cyber security incidents. Participate as an active member of the Cyber Security Team, helping strengthen Kawartha’s cyber security posture.
  • Provide on call, after hours support. Some travel will be required.

Qualifications

  • Post secondary education with an emphasis in Computer Technology, Information Technology or Computer Science
  • 5+ years of experience performing systems analysis and administration
  • Previous experience in the financial industry is a strong asset
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • MCSE (preferred)
  • CompTIA Network+ (preferred)
  • Excellent organization and time management skills
