We are actively hiring an Accounts Payable Administrator to join our accounting team
Job Duties:
-
Prepare and process accounts payable invoices, cheques and wire transfers
-
Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date, taking advantage of vendor terms, where appropriate
-
Resolve invoice discrepancies
-
Correspond with vendors and respond to inquiries
-
Sorting and filing all paid invoices and other documents, as needed
-
Reconciling vendor statements, bank statements and other related accounts
-
Receive and verify employee expense reports, including company credit cards
-
Ensure the Accounting System is updated regularly for accuracy of vendor contact and address information
-
Perform other related accounts payable duties as required
-
Various ad hoc and special projects Other duties may be required
Requirements:
-
At least 1 year of accounting experience in a similar role
-
A diploma or degree in accounting or administration, or equivalent
-
General knowledge of accounting processes and procedures
-
Strong knowledge of office applications – Excel, Word, Outlook
-
Experience with Sage 300 Construction and Real Estate program is an asset
-
Excellent phone and email etiquette and ability to write clear and concise business communications
-
Ability to work proactively both independently and in a team environment
-
Impeccable accuracy with numbers and high level of attention to detail
-
A solid work ethic with ability to prioritize, meet deadlines and work under pressure in a fast-paced high-volume environment Ability to handle confidential information in a discreet, professional manner
