The Toronto Blue Jays are looking for a Sr. Manager, Concerts & Events.

As a member of the Concerts & Events Fan Experience Department at the Toronto Blue Jays Baseball Club & Rogers Centre, this full-time position is responsible for leading the planning, operational oversight, and execution of concerts, concert promotions, ticketed VIP package experiences, non-baseball events, galas, private events, and specialty game-day events at Rogers Centre. Reporting directly to the Director, Concerts & Events, this role serves as a senior operational leader within the department with a focus on concert ownership, overseeing event portfolios, supporting team development, and ensuring seamless execution across all event experiences while continuing to elevate and improve the event business and fan experience each season.

RESPONSIBILITIES**:**

  • Lead and oversee the planning and execution of concerts, concert promotions, ticketed VIP package experiences, non-baseball events, galas, private events, and specialty game-day events at Rogers Centre while liaising with internal departments to ensure seamless execution and memorable fan experiences

  • Lead and support concert advancing, venue operations, promoter relations, VIP experiences, activations, and event logistics while ensuring alignment across internal departments and external stakeholders

  • Liaise with promoter to lead and support internal and external communication and marketing teams with concert and event announcements, promotions and event-related initiatives while ensuring operational and brand alignment

  • Work directly with internal ticketing team and Ticketmaster to ensure concert/event ticket builds are accurate, ticket on sales run smoothly and concerts and events are sold out to maximize revenue

  • Oversee and support execution from load-in to load-out for concerts and major events including, but not limited to, venue walkthroughs, artist and promoter relations, credentialing, activation logistics, artist gifting, parking, catering, and operational coordination

  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with promoters, vendors, partners, and internal stakeholders while contributing to a collaborative and team-oriented culture across all event operations

  • Work collaboratively with internal departments including Security, Facilities, Ballpark Set-up, Field Operations, Ballpark Experience & Operations, Technical Production, IT, Merchandise, Fan Services, F&B, and Engineering to ensure operational readiness and successful event delivery

  • Provide operational oversight and leadership support across all event portfolios, including staffing allocation, prioritization, resource planning, and cross-functional coordination

  • Act as the primary operational lead for concerts and major events while supporting problem-solving and decision-making across active event portfolios

  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with promoters, vendors, partners, and internal stakeholders while contributing to a collaborative and team-oriented culture across all event operations

  • Assist with on-field ceremonies and activation aspects of speciality game day entertainment, pregame, in-game and promotions elements associated for baseball when required

  • Assist in any Club needs from planning, logistic movement and operations to ensure seamless transition between baseball/concerts seasons and renovations

  • Partner with the Director, Concerts & Events and Director, Hospitality & Events on departmental planning, operational strategy, business growth opportunities, budgeting, and process improvements

  • Mentor and support event team members while fostering development opportunities and maintaining strong collaboration across the department

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5+ years of progressive event and venue management experience including experience leading large-scale concerts and event operations, cross-functional coordination, venue conversion knowledge, and managing multiple concurrent event portfolios in a fast-paced environment

  • Proven ability to balance strategic oversight with hands-on event execution while maintaining strong attention to detail and operational excellence

  • Previous experience leading, mentoring, and supporting event staff while building collaborative working relationships across teams

  • Strong communicator who can listen and constructively share opinions and receive feedback

  • Strong operational mindset with the ability to prioritize workload, manage competing priorities, and effectively problem-solve in high-pressure environments

  • Must be able to sustain long physical days

  • Legally able to work in Canada

Applicants must be available to work all Rogers Centre concerts/events, with the ability and willingness to work baseball games, including non-traditional hours, evenings, weekends and holidays as required**.**

**Salary:**The anticipated base compensation range for this role is $95,000 – $105,000. Actual base pay offered within this range may differ based on a range of factors, including individual experience, education, skills, and organizational needs.
