1.0 Temporary Human Resources Student
Effective Immediately to August 31, 2026
Location: North Bay Head Office * This position is not remote*
Working within a dynamic Human Resources team, this position supports a variety of essential Human Resources functions. The Human Resources Student works with Human Resources team members on various projects, programs and initiatives.
Primary responsibilities:
- Assisting Human Resources Coordinators with organizational recruitment
- Interview scheduling and support and associated onboarding activities
- Responding to emails, phone calls and other correspondence
- Maintaining Human Resource databases
- Supporting the Human Resources Staff Team with ongoing projects and initiatives
- Filing, archiving and other administration needs of the department
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Enrolled in and actively pursuing a Human Resources Management or Business Administration degree or diploma
- Experience in a progressive Human Resources environment is an asset
- CHRP designation or designation in progress is an asset
Required Skills:
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills (oral and written)
- Strong time management skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks
- Effective problem solving and analytical skills
- Confidentiality and strong attention to detail are essential
- Must be able to develop and utilize internal/external relationships as resources to accomplish tasks
- Proficient in a PC computer environment that utilizes MS Office
Rate of Pay:****$25.00 per hour plus 4% vacation pay and applicable statutory holiday pay
Hours of work: 35 hours a week (Monday to Friday)
