NAIT's Department of Corporate & Continuing Education is seeking Calgary based Contract Instructors to join its instructor pool within the Business and Productivity portfolio. The primary role would be to deliver in-person training courses and programs to corporate clients located in Calgary and area, however, additional opportunities to teach online courses to NAIT's open enrolment, international students and corporate training clients may also be an option.

Instructors Are Being Recruited To Teach Courses In NAIT's Leadership Development Program, Which May Include But Are Not Limited To The Following Subject Areas

Leadership, Coaching, Supervisory Skills, and Leading Others

Facilitation, Collaboration, & Communication Self-Development, Time Management and Organizational Skills & Tools Business Planning & Strategic Planning Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion

Instructors must primarily have Saturday daytime availability and flexibility to be available for some daytime weekdays, as needed (every day of the week availability is not required).

The term of these contracts will vary in length of time and duration.

The successful candidates will possess extensive experience and subject matter expertise relating to the program content noted above. Ideally candidates will have taught courses and workshops previously and have an active learning focus as part of their course delivery capabilities.

Contract Instruction Deliverables

Provide direct instruction utilizing appropriate instructional strategies to maximize student motivation and learning in a skill-building environment Utilize appropriate education technology for communications and presentations, including LMS systems (Brightspace) & MS Teams. Maintain professional ethical relationships with students and colleagues; respond professionally to student issues and concerns; submit marks/records promptly.

Qualifications

A related undergraduate degree plus 10 years or more of direct significant experience in the related field. A graduate degree is preferred along with related experience. Experienced with the training and facilitation of adult learners in a face-to-face and online environment using a variety of engagement techniques. Skilled in MS Office and and related educational technologies. A NAIT Teaching, Training, and Facilitation Excellence Certificate (formerly Becoming a Master Instructor Certificate) would be a definite asset.

Candidates selected for an interview will be required to prepare and present a lesson on a provided topic.
