Senior Manager – Business Analyst 📍 Toronto, ON (Hybrid – Onsite 3 Days/Week)

About the Role We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager – Business Analyst to lead business analysis initiatives for large-scale digital transformation and AI-driven programs within the Financial Services / Banking domain. This role requires a strategic thinker who can translate complex business needs into actionable requirements, drive process transformation, and partner closely with business and technology teams to deliver enterprise-scale solutions.

Key Responsibilities Lead requirements gathering, discovery workshops, and process mapping for complex business workflows and transformation initiatives. Analyze and document business requirements, functional specifications, business rules, and workflow dependencies. Create, manage, and refine epics, features, user stories, and acceptance criteria. Define and maintain Definition of Ready (DoR) and Definition of Done (DoD) to ensure delivery quality. Collaborate with engineering, product, and business teams to resolve design and implementation decisions. Design and optimize analyst review workflows, approval processes, and governance models. Develop and maintain data mapping documents, business rules, data dictionaries, and reference schemas. Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) including test planning, execution support, defect resolution, and stakeholder sign-off. Validate solution outputs, prototypes, and deliverables against business expectations. Define OKRs/KPIs and measure project success against business outcomes. Manage cross-functional stakeholders across multiple workstreams.

Must-Have Qualifications 15+ years of experience in Business Analysis / Business Systems Analysis. Mandatory experience in Financial Services or Banking domain. Strong expertise in Agile/Scrum methodologies. Proven experience gathering and documenting business requirements, process mapping, user stories, epics, and acceptance criteria. Hands-on experience with backlog management tools such as Jira and Azure DevOps. Strong experience with UAT planning, coordination, test case design, and business adoption. Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and facilitation skills. Strong ability to bridge business stakeholders and engineering teams. Experience defining business workflows, dependencies, and process transformations. Experience creating and maintaining data mapping documents, business rules, data dictionaries, and reference schemas. Experience defining and tracking OKRs/KPIs to measure business outcomes. Experience validating prototypes and ensuring deliverables meet business expectations. Hands-on experience with Human-in-the-Loop (HITL) workflow design. Experience working on AI / Automation / Decisioning platform projects. Experience supporting enterprise digital transformation initiatives.
