SUMMARY**:**

To assist in the development of Business Intelligence deliverables to support the hospital’s information needs. Specifically, the student will support the Project Manager and Decision Support team through the roll out of reports and deliverables using Business Intelligence (BI) tools.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support development of ETL scripts for a multitude of data sources.
  • Support the Project Manager in interfacing with Staff and Management around development of customer dashboards.
  • Support Decision Support staff in the development and release of dashboards and reports in the hospital’s BI system.
  • Frequent contact with staff at all levels of the organization

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Working towards a Bachelor of Applied Health Information Science or related course (i.e. Computer science, Health Administration, Analytics, Health Systems, Machine Learning, Operations Research, or any other related field)
  • Exposure to healthcare data (abstracted data and patient registration data)
  • DBA knowledge or ETL skills, specifically with SQL Server or iWay Data Migrator
  • Javascript or HTML or other programming language

  • Team player with proven ability to build relationships at all levels of an organization
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Excellent client service and communication skills
  • Experience with BI tools and general aptitude for programming
