Our client, a third-generation family business specializing in general construction, is currently looking for an Architectural Technologist. Reporting directly to management, you will be responsible for preparing estimates and overseeing project follow-ups to ensure the quality and profitability of assigned mandates.
Tasks
- Read and analyze plans and specifications to prepare cost and material estimates.
- Prepare and manage data related to the bill of materials (BOM).
- Develop and write bids in collaboration with management and project managers.
- Follow up on bids and assist with calls for tender.
- Help prepare tender documents and support ongoing project tracking.
- Ensure compliance with budgets, timelines, and quality standards (construction codes and regulations).
- Communicate with subcontractors and suppliers to request and compare pricing.
- Conduct occasional site visits when necessary.
- Perform any other related tasks to support project success.

Job requirements
- College diploma (DEC) in Architectural Technology or a related field.
- 1 to 5 years of experience in a similar role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; knowledge of project management software (e.g., Procore) is a strong asset.
- Knowledge of the Quebec Construction Code, as well as construction materials and equipment.
- Strong comprehension of construction processes and plan reading.
- Excellent spoken and written French.
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license for travel to construction sites, as needed.
