POSITION OVERVIEW

Reporting to the Repair and Maintenance Lead, the Repair and Maintenance Technician position is a pivotal role responsible for maintenance and repair of electrical and mechanical systems on trailer equipment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Inspect, maintain, and repair electrical and mechanical systems on trailer equipment

• Assess equipment and provide accurate diagnosis of needed repairs

• Managing inventory levels of needed parts and equipment for repairs

• Provide technical phone support whether in-person or over the phone

• Use of hand power tools such as drills, impact, grinder, etc.

• Perform basic maintenance and repairs on bearings, tires, and axles

QUALIFICATIONS

• Valid drivers license and clean drivers abstract

• 2+ years of experience with mechanical or electrical maintenance

• Preferably, diploma or education as an Electrical Technologist or related field

• Welding or soldering experience considered an asset

• Ability to read circuit diagrams to assist in repair

HOURS OF WORK

The typical work schedule will be Monday through Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm with a 30-minute lunch break. When workload warrants, overtime or hours outside this timeframe may be required.
