Job Description We invite you to join the world of luxury hospitality at Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge, as our new Concierge. The knowledge of a great Concierge is the expectation of our guests when staying at Fairmont Hotels & Resorts. Your ability to anticipate the guests' needs and make informed suggestions will ensure they have a truly memorable stay.
What you will be doing: Reporting to the Guest Experience Manager, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
- Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
- Assist guests with mail, messages, and any plans or arrangements they require including onsite and offsite activities
- Promote and sell the services and concessions within the Hotel as well as services offered by suppliers
- Assist guest with dining reservations and handling group and special occasions dining needs
- Provide personalized and specialized service to VIP guests of the Hotel through pre-arrival emails, communication and follow up throughout stay and post-departure
- Act as a liaison and resource for other departments and employees of the Hotel
- Constantly be aware of daily functions and promotions in the hotel
- Remain in regular contact with guests in house to ensure a seamless, personalized, enjoyable, and comfortable stay
- Surprise and delight at every opportunity and work with other departments to expedite requests
- Embrace the Fairmont brand promise and luxury in your role and in all your interactions
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications Your experience and skills include:
- Excellent knowledge of Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge, the town of Jasper, and local attractions preferred
- Valid Alberta driver’s license and Abstract required
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities
- Highly responsible & reliable, self-starter and goal oriented
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team with minimum supervision
- Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
Visa Requirements: Must be legally eligible to work in Canada. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining Canadian work authorization.
