About the role

The Department of Biology at the University of Prince Edward Island invites applications from UPEI students who are interested in assisting in laboratories for the following courses in the 2026 Winter semester:

Botany (BIO 2020), Microbiology (BIO 2060), Animal Behaviour (BIO 3350), Biodiversity and Conservation Biology (BIO 4540)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assisting in laboratories and/or tutorials, and marking exams and assignments
  • Successful applicants will be required to participate on a weekly basis for the duration of the applicable semester
  • Must be a current UPEI student
  • Have good communication skills
  • Be WHMIS (Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System) trained or be willing to take the training
  • Must have knowledge of the course material and have an acceptable academic record (min. 2.7 GPA)
