Job Summary The Operations Coordinator plays a key role in advancing UFV’s student health and wellness portfolio by managing the day-to-day operations of the Student Wellness department and Wellness spaces. This position ensures the efficient coordination of administrative tasks within the Student Wellness portfolio.
The Operations Coordinator fosters a student-centered service philosophy, engages with diverse stakeholders, and supports the implementation of initiatives to enhance student health and wellness.
Qualifications
- Completion of a two-year diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution.
- A minimum of three (3) years relevant, progressive experience at the senior assistant or project coordinator level, preferably in a post-secondary institution environment.
- Formal or informal learning related to leading in a post-secondary institution (e.g.,supervisory skills, educational leadership, student success) would be an asset.
- Excellent organizational skills, oral and written communication, and interpersonal and relationship building skills.
- Demonstrated ability to navigate sensitive situations and conversations with empathy and tact.
- Ability to gather statistical data using qualitative and quantitative methods.
- Experience using graphic design software and web content management systems.
- Ability to work independently, ability to take initiative, exercise good judgment, and make appropriate decisions.
- Strong knowledge of MS Office, Case Management Software, Scheduling Applications and other computer programs.
- Food Safe Certification considered an asset.
- Willingness to partake in continuous professional development.
- Ability to work across campuses, predominantly Abbotsford and Chilliwack.
