We’re looking for a Customer Service Representative to be the first point of contact for our customers at the scale house and front office—greeting visitors, answering questions, and ensuring every experience reflects the care and professionalism we’re known for.

About the RoleYou’ll be the face and voice of Salish Soils, supporting customers in person, over the phone, and by email. From processing sales and payments to directing traffic safely on site, you’ll play a vital role in keeping operations smooth and customers informed.

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys working with people, can juggle multiple tasks under pressure, and takes pride in delivering friendly, accurate service every time.

What You’ll Do• Greet and assist customers in person, on the phone, and by email with kindness and professionalism

  • Answer questions about products, services, and site policies
  • Sell products, schedule deliveries, and process payments accurately
  • Visually inspect incoming loads, confirm disposal fees, and direct customers to the right location
  • Log curbside service calls, escalate issues appropriately, and communicate with team members
  • Maintain clear radio communication with operators and supervisors
  • Keep the front office, scale house, and surrounding areas tidy and organized
  • Support other administrative or operational tasks as assigned

You Might Be a Good Fit If You…• Have at least 1 year of customer service experience

  • Are comfortable working with computers (Microsoft Office experience is an asset)
  • Can stay calm under pressure and multitask effectively
  • Communicate clearly and treat customers with respect—even in challenging situations
  • Are already based on the Sunshine Coast
  • Can work Saturdays October–March, and Saturdays + Sundays April–September
  • Care about sustainability, Indigenous leadership, and community impact

Compensation• $25–$27 hourly wage based on experience
