About the role

Lake Country Co-op invites applications for the position of Full-Time Site Construction Team Leader with focus on Ready-to- Move (RTM) Homes at our Homes by Lake Country location near Prince Albert, Saskatchewan. If you are looking to use your industry knowledge and leadership skills to take Homes by Lake Country to the next level, then Lake Country Co-op is looking for you! We are seeking a skilled and motivated individual to supervise and work alongside team members, building and finishing RTM homes. This position requires hands-on construction experience, leadership skills, and strong understanding of residential building practices, from framing to finishing and on-site installation.

What You Will Do:

  • Demonstrate the behaviors and actions to support Lake Country Co-operative’s vision, mission, and safety principles to make a difference in members lives, with a strong customer focused approach.
  • Provide Legendary Service at all touch points through various communication channels.
  • Lead and coordinate a construction crew in the building and daily activities of RTM homes at the production or building site, with a focus on safety, workmanship and production.
  • Oversee and participate in various stages of construction: framing, siding, roofing, insulation, drywall, flooring, cabinetry, and finishing in coordination with Site Team Leader and design team to build and maintain the construction schedule.
  • Ensure projects meet quality standards and adhere to building codes.
  • Communicate with project managers, subcontractors, and inspectors as needed to maintain the timeline of each project.
  • Manage contractor orientations enforcing safety and onsite housekeeping standards.
  • Ensure subcontractors are performing duties as outlined by each contract.
  • Implement corrective action plans to meet key milestones.
  • Supervise setup and installation of RTM homes at delivery sites, including alignment, leveling, and connection of utilities (as applicable.)
  • Train, mentor and manage team members, promoting a safe, efficient, and respectful work environment.
  • Maintain accurate records of work progress, materials, and labour usage.
  • Enforce safety standards and ensure use of proper PPE and equipment.
  • Adhere to and enforce the Safety Management and Asset Protection systems, policies, procedures, records, and training requirements.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Who You Will Work With: Reporting to the Site Team Leader, you will work closely with a variety of internal and external partners to ensure a successful customer experience and project execution. This role is highly collaborative and requires effective communication, teamwork, and organizational skills to support both customer satisfaction and internal efficiency.

Who You Are:
You are looking for a career in the Home and Building and Construction industry and:

  • You have a high school diploma or equivalent and proven residential construction experience, including leadership or supervisory roles.
  • You have experience specifically with modular or RTM home construction.
  • You have certification in carpentry and construction safety along with First Aid and Fall Arrest Training.
  • You have the ability to operate skid steers, telehandlers, or other construction equipment.
  • You have strong knowledge of wood framing, roofing, finishing and building systems.
  • You have a strong understanding of safety regulations and procedures related to construction.
  • You have experience coaching, mentoring, and developing a team of field personnel.
  • You have the ability to read and interpret construction documents, plans, and drawings.
  • You are well organized, can work independently, and as the leader of your team and various field trades.
  • You work well under pressure and are savvy with balancing and meeting multiple strict deadlines.
  • You have strong oral and written communication skills and communicate effectively using multiple communication channels.
  • You are attentive to detail and hold precision and accuracy as core values.
  • You are able to identify and solve complex problems effectively.
  • You are available to work a flexible schedule; some evenings and weekends and overnights may be required.
  • You must be able to perform the physical tasks common to the construction industry, including heavy lifting, working at heights and in confined and dusty spaces in various weather conditions.
  • You carry a valid driver’s license (class 5 minimum) for regular day travel.
