What we’re looking for? We’re looking to add either an Associate Manager or Manager (dependent on experience) to our industry-leading Property Consulting division – working with sponsorship rights holders across Canada who build impactful brand partnerships with the country’s top brands. You are a dynamic, critical thinker with an eagerness to do whatever it takes to build impactful strategies and tell meaningful stories. You are self-motivated and thrive in a team-oriented, analytical environment. In your role, you will collaborate with a group of high-impact consultants to develop forward-thinking sponsorship recommendations for THE·TEAM‘s rights holder clients.
As a key member of THE·TEAM’s Property Consulting Division, you will be responsible for delivering strategic marketing and consulting services for sponsorship rights holder clients (i.e. leagues, teams, venues, etc). This team specializes in delivering insight and data-led revenue maximizing strategies, focused heavily in the areas of sponsorship within sport, entertainment, and culture. Client workstreams are primarily focused on strategic consulting services including but not limited to sponsorship valuation & measurement, fan insights and market research, go-to-market support, business development support, and other services aimed at supporting properties in maximizing sponsorship revenue.
As THE·TEAM supports hybrid working environments and also acknowledges the benefits of in-office collaboration, our global policy is 3-days per week in-office. What will you do?
- Handle day-to-day administration of client deliverables, prioritizing projects with self-direction
- Support client projects by gathering data, analyzing and extracting insights across various industry verticals, including sports, entertainment and other properties
- Utilize proprietary and syndicated research tools to deliver quantitative insights regarding sponsorship performance, brand targeting or business development support
- Conduct holistic audience research utilizing social listening and other data sources that shape insights required to inform business and marketing strategy
- Build data visualization tools (charts, graphs, maps, etc.) to communicate trends, outliers, and patterns in data in an accessible manner
- Develop and deliver polished client materials, creating compelling content both independently and collaboratively
- Conduct market-based research from primary and secondary sources
- Support detailed sponsorship valuation for a variety of assets and programs leveraging one of THE·TEAM’s proprietary valuation methodologies
- Contribute to ongoing sponsorship and market trend compilation within sports, entertainment, and lifestyle, to support internal and external business objectives
- Participate in the conceptualization and development of innovative thought leadership materials
What do you need to succeed?
- Direct working experience or knowledge of brand partnership strategy sponsorship and/or consulting, insights &/or sponsorship analytics
- At least 1-2 years’ experience working within sports / entertainment marketing, consulting or other related industry
- An open and inclusive mindset with the flexibility to take on a range of responsibilities and challenges
- High level of initiative and resourcefulness, as well as the ability to work well both independently and with a team
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment
- Innate curiosity and critical thinking skills, with the ability to turn data into key insights that guide practical, strategic recommendations
- Excellent ability to think creatively, particularly through oral and visual storytelling
- Excellent communication skills; able to communicate efficiently and effectively with a diverse group of internal and external partners
- High-level proficiency with Microsoft Office applications; advanced skills in PowerPoint and Excel, with an ability to manage complex datasets
- A basic level understanding of research tools and exposure to market research
- Familiarity / experience with quantitative analysis
- High-level of proficiency in using Microsoft PowerPoint
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel with the ability to manage complex datasets
- Base-level knowledge of syndicated research tools (e.g. Nielsen, Vividata, Scarborough, GWI, YouGov) an asset, but not required
