The Transaction Screening team is a risk management function responsible for the governance of sanctions screening solutions globally, enterprise wide. The team leads and oversees the Global Sanctions Program’s screening management functions, ensuring coverage assessments, tuning methodology, rules governance framework, and screening standards are developed, executed, and maintained in compliance with governing regulations, internal bank-wide policies, and procedures. The Business Solutions Expert provides subject matter expertise in securities screening and leads enterprise-wide coverage assessments across multiple screening pillars, including payments, trade finance, and securities.
Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:
Support the sanctions screening solutions management function globally, enterprise-wide:
Subject Matter Expertise & Workstream Leadership
- Serve as the global subject matter expert (SME) for securities screening, with deep expertise in Bloomberg securities data, issuer hierarchies, and reference data files.
- Lead the securities screening workstream end-to-end, including methodology development, integration of new datasets, and ongoing validation of securities coverage.
- Support and co-lead coverage assessments across payments and trade finance screening, driving a consistent methodology across all pillars.
Coverage Assessments and Governance
- Lead and coordinate global coverage assessments, ensuring completeness of sanctioned parties, issuers, and associated instruments across screening pillars.
- Develop and maintain governance standards, methodology, and risk tolerance frameworks for enterprise-wide transaction screening.
- Act as a primary point of contact for regulatory examinations and audits related to screening coverage, always ensuring audit readiness**.
Data and System Oversight
- Collaborate with data and analytics teams to validate Bloomberg and other vendor data feeds, ensuring robust governance, accuracy, and lineage.
- Liaise with IT and product owners to define business requirements, translating regulatory and compliance needs into system functionality.
- Oversee data extracts, system testing, tuning, and reporting to validate the efficacy and efficiency of screening solutions.
Stakeholder Management and Communication
- Provide strategic insights, regular updates, and risk assessments to senior leadership on screening performance, coverage gaps, and emerging risks.
- Build strong relationships with Compliance, Operations, IT, and vendor partners, ensuring alignment across global initiatives.
- Promote a risk-based, data-driven approach to sanctions compliance across all transaction screening pillars.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed? We’d love to work with you if you have experience with:
- Minimum bachelor’s degree in business, finance, engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in compliance, governance, or business solutions roles within the financial services industry.
- Deep knowledge of sanctions regulatory requirements across multiple asset classes, with specific expertise in securities markets.
- Strong experience with Bloomberg securities data, reference data files, and data extract governance.
- Demonstrated expertise in leading coverage assessments, system integration, and stakeholder engagement.
- Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills.
- Knowledge of financial markets, products, operations, and screening systems.
