About Brucejack Our Brucejack Gold Mine, a high-grade underground mine in beautiful northern British Columbia, is located approximately 65 kilometres north of Stewart. Brucejack is a fly-in/fly-out operation with pick-up points across Western Canada, making it easy for people from different places to join us. We work closely with local First Nations communities including the Nisga’a, Tahltan, Gitanyow, and Gitxsan, to build respectful partnerships and celebrate our shared community.

As a member of the Brucejack family, we put your health, comfort, and safety first. You’ll stay in private rooms with individual washrooms, enjoy balanced meals prepared by our exceptional culinary team, and have access to a 24-hour snack and sandwich bar. For creative downtime, our music room is a fully equipped space where you can play or listen to music. Our Brucejack Recreation Committee, run by employees on a volunteer basis, organizes activities and events to make camp life fun and bring people together. Your Impact

As a Superintendent Project Execution, you will lead and coordinate all on-site construction activities within your designated area, ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest safety and quality standards. Your leadership will be key in driving collaboration between contractors, project teams, and stakeholders—helping Newmont achieve safe, efficient, and world-class project execution.

As Part of Our Team, You Will

  • Coordinate the implementation of capital projects to align with strategic goals and objectives
  • Plan detailed project schedules and budgets, and continuously monitor progress to ensure adherence to plan and schedule
  • Coordinate with internal and external team members, including contractors and vendors, to ensure all project requirements and expectations are clearly communicated and met
  • Adhere to all project activities complying with company safety and environmental policies, as well as relevant regulations and standards
  • Identify potential project risks, formulate mitigation strategies, and execute plans to handle these risks effectively throughout the project lifecycle
  • Deliver and distribute regular progress reports, including updates on timelines, budget status, and any issues or risks, to senior management and other key team members
  • Facilitate and mentor the project delivery team, fostering an impactful culture and ensuring team members have the skills and support needed to excel
  • Implement and adhere to health, safety, and environmental regulations to ensure all project activities comply with relevant standards
  • Interface with other department leads functions and teams to ensure appropriate support and service is delivered to meet operational needs.
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and high-performing work environment through coaching, feedback, and team development.

Prerequisites for Your Success in This Role

  • Ideally 15+ years of progressive experience in managing construction projects including scheduling, budgeting and risk mitigation, preferably in mining, heavy industrial, or large-scale infrastructure
  • Proven success leading multi-disciplinary teams, contractors, and working in remote or challenging environments
  • Expertise in construction management, contract management, risk management, scheduling, estimating, quality control, and safety standards
  • Proficient with construction software (Primavera P6, Procore, AutoCAD) and MS Office Suite
  • Strong leadership, coaching, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Commitment to fostering a safe, respectful, and inclusive culture

Your Work Environment

This is a site-based role working in a dynamic and fast-paced construction environment. You will spend the majority of your time on-site, coordinating activities across multiple work fronts and engaging directly with contractors, engineers, and project managers. The role requires a hands-on leadership style, adaptability to shifting priorities, and a proactive approach to safety and problem-solving.

  • Location: Brucejack Mine (fly-in/fly-out role)
  • Rotation: 13 days on / 13 days off / 2 days travel
  • Conditions: Onsite in a remote, industrial mining environment
  • Requirements: Must pass pre-employment medical, drug & alcohol test, and comply with PPE and safety protocols

We are now recruiting for the position of Superintendent Execution with a competitive annual salary of CAD 145,400 - CAD 193,800 . The expected salary range for this role is CA$145,400-193,800 . This range is tied to the British Columbia market for jobs performed in British Columbia. The salary offer to the successful candidate will be based on job-related education, training, and/or experience.
