Your Contribution:
Your main responsibilities
- Assist in developing, planning, organizing, and carrying the design of various electrical projects using AutoCAD and Revit.
- Electrical System Design including but not limited to:
- Power
- distribution and emergency backup
- Lighting
- Fire Alarm
- Security, door access and controls
- Communications and networking
- Reviewing shop drawings
- Carry out and assist with field reviews and field data collection
- Assist in the preparation of reports and specifications
- Assist in the preparation of cost estimates
- Adhere to project budgets and objectives
- Attend project meetings with Clients and other design team members
- Coordinate with other design disciplines
- Participate in internal and external project meetings
- Project management tasks– project management experience would be an asset for an Intermediate position
- Apply and promote Englobe’s health and safety rules
Your Profile:
What makes you unique
- 2–5 years of experience in electrical design, drafting, or fieldwork; experience in Commercial, Municipal and Industrial is an asset
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited University or; Diploma in Electrical and Electronics Engineering Technician from an accredited institution
- Eligibility or enrollment with Association of Professional Engineers & Geoscientists Newfoundland & Labrador or registered as a Professional Technologist (P.Tech)
- Understanding of electrical systems, power distribution, communication and lighting design
- Familiarity with applicable electrical codes and standards
- Experience in the consulting industry would be an asset
- Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written, bilingual (French) would be an asset
- Strong organizational skills that will allow you to work on numerous projects concurrently, and update reoccurring tasks
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit
- Familiarity with electrical design software (e.g., AGI32, SKM, or similar)
- Knowledge of MS Office Suite for documentation and reporting
- High level of integrity and work ethic
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Valid Driver’s License
As the successful Electrical candidate, you will work in collaboration with the Electrical teams based out of New Brunswick and Nova Scotia.
