Faculty Appointment Types Part-time Job Summary
The College of New Caledonia is looking for a part time instructor to teach the Dental Office Receptionist course, offered through Community & Continuing Education. The successful candidate will deliver theory and practical components aligned with the approved course syllabus, evaluate student progress, and may assist with updating instructional materials.
Skills & Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:

Diploma or certificate in Dental Office Administration, Dental Reception, Dental Assisting, or an equivalent combination of education and experience in a dental or healthcare office setting

Minimum three years of recent, relevant experience in dental office administration, billing, or patient coordination
-
Proficiency in dental software, preferably Power Practice or an equivalent program
-
Strong computer literacy and comfort using learning management systems or electronic platforms
Preferred Qualifications:
-
Teaching or training experience, particularly in adult or post-secondary settings
-
Education in adult education methodology (e.g., CNC Instructional Skills Workshop or Instructional Diploma Program)
-
Experience with dental billing, insurance claims, and scheduling systems
-
Current knowledge of privacy and records management practices in dental or health environments
