About the Role
As part of a strategic partnership with Pratt & Whitney Canada, our multidisciplinary building team is deployed directly on the Longueuil campus. We support a range of infrastructure, layout, and facility modernization projects across the country.
We are looking for an experienced Project Manager Construction to play a key coordination role between the client, engineering teams, and general and specialized contractors. You will be responsible for the operational management of various projects within a complex industrial environment.
Your Responsibilities
Project Management and Coordination
- Ensure ongoing coordination between the client (Pratt & Whitney Canada), the engineering teams (BPA), and contractors to guarantee smooth project execution.
- Act as the main point of contact for all internal and external stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain project plans: schedules, resources, budgets, and execution strategies.
- Manage communications, lead project meetings, and ensure rigorous follow up of action items.
Construction Oversight and Compliance
- Supervise work, validate compliance with plans, specifications, and technical requirements.
- Coordinate on site activities across disciplines and manage technical contingencies.
- Manage change requests, claims, and technical decisions while ensuring alignment between engineering and execution.
- Ensure compliance with standards, regulations, and health & safety practices.
Client Relations and Operational Issues
- Understand the operational needs of an aerospace manufacturing environment and adapt proposed solutions accordingly.
- Provide proactive and transparent communication with the client and internal teams.
- Anticipate risks and propose effective mitigation measures.
Desired Profile
Skills and Experience
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in construction project management, ideally in an industrial or institutional environment.
- Strong experience in site coordination involving multiple technical disciplines.
- Excellent understanding of tendering processes, contract management, cost control, and scheduling.
- Knowledge of Québec building standards and industrial environments.
- Proficiency with management tools (MS Project, Excel, etc.).
