Job Title: Industrial Mechanic (Millwright)
Status: Full-time Permanent Position

##Role Purpose
In the role of Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for, but not limited to, assisting in the general maintenance, preventative maintenance programs and asset management for our Facilities. This position will work with the Maintenance team to diagnose and troubleshoot day-to-day equipment issues, support preventive maintenance objectives, and develop maintenance programs and procedures. Support equipment inventory systems and work with project managers and equipment suppliers/installers. You will be responsible for responding to emergency and general repair calls and providing a proactive approach towards maintenance with direction from the Central (ON) Region Maintenance department.
##Main Duties and Responsibilites
- Implements the maintenance program based on planning/scheduling.
- Responsible for maintenance of work areas and all tooling.
- Manages service, supplier and contractor relationships as per the values and objectives of the company.
- Monitors the use and inventories of spare parts, maintenance supplies, and equipment and initiates reordering when necessary. Works in conjunction with the Maintenance Coordinator.
- Maintains and repairs maintenance shop equipment.
- Ability to plan for improvements for increased production, cost savings, and improved safety.
- Supervises maintenance delegates duties as required.
- Maintains and executes CMMS program.
- Works with Regional Maintenance department to make sure facility follows corporate policies.
- Provides support to engineering projects, as required, directly at the facility.
- Required May be required to travel to nearby plant(s) to provide additional maintenance support.
- Responsible for ensuring integrity and presentation of maintenance data for internal/external ISO audits.
##Required Qualifications
- Red Seal Millwright ticket that is recognized in Canada
- A minimum of 5 years of verifiable experience in an industrial, manufacturing or production setting.
- Intermediate electrical skills (low/high voltage troubleshooting, drawing interpretation, etc.) or other trade will be considered an asset.
- Ability to work outdoors in all environments.
- Ability to work at heights.
- Some knowledge about forklifts, scissor lifts and cranes.
- Confined space entry experience.
- Experience in a construction environment - proof of ASP safety course - an asset.
- Ability to work off hours and overtime for emergencies.
- Knowledge of production processes, Delta V automation, PLC automation, pumps, valves, piping, heating tracing, thermal oil heaters, steam boilers, and diverse electrical systems.
- Strong work ethic with ability to work alone or in small teams.
- Strong computer skills (Word/Excel/Outlook etc.), and experience with CMMS systems are required.
- Knowledge of ISO and 6S standards is an asset.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
- Must possess personal hand tools, adequate to serve all facets of basic maintenance tasks.
##Working conditions
- May (occasionally) need to assist other facilities in the Western Region (up 70%).
- Ability to work in all-weather elements, and at heights, and within confined spaces.
- Fluctuating hours based on the needs of the business and audits, etc.
