Eaton’s ES AMER PCS division is currently seeking a Electrical Assembler. Eaton Airdrie is a fully integrated manufacturing plant that has been serving Canadian businesses for over 44 years. What you’ll do:
Eaton is currently seeking 2 Electrical Assemblers – Day Shift to join our team. This position is based at our Airdrie, Alberta facility.
Position Overview:
Reporting to the Production Manager, this position is responsible for mounting and basic wiring of components with standard layouts/options, performs sub-assembly functions as required, and develops enhanced wiring skills under the direction of a more experienced Electrical Assembler.

In this function you will:
- Assemble and mount electrical, mechanical, and sub-assembly components onto pan, into enclosures, structures etc.
- Wire electrical products with basic/standard options as required.
- Wire electrical products with a non-standard option.
- Check components for functionality.
- Complete checklists and other documentation as required.
- Assembler enclosures and structures when applicable.
- Deliver sub-assemblies to the production areas.
- Support inventory maintenance.

Qualifications:
Required (Basic) Qualifications:
- High school diploma/GED or equivalent from an accredited institution.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Legally authorized to work in Canada without company sponsorship.
- Must reside within 80km of Airdrie to be considered for this position.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1-year experience working in an electrical manufacturing environment.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics.
- Ability to cross train and continuously learn.
- Effective time management and prioritization skills.
- Knowledge and practice of safety precautions related to working with machines.
- Ability to recognize quality issues and make judgements.
Skills:
Position Success Criteria:
- Lifting and occasional heavy lifting/maneuvering up to 50lbs with assistance or using lifting device.
- Continuous standing, reaching.
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work in a team environment with minimal supervision.
- Maintain a positive commitment to the safety of self and others.
- Strong analytical aptitude and complex problem-solving skills.
