This is a senior-level clinical research leadership role responsible for overseeing the end-to-end delivery of complex, global clinical projects across multiple sponsors and therapeutic areas. You will manage the operational, financial, and strategic execution of clinical trials from start-up through closeout, ensuring quality, compliance, and alignment with regulatory standards. The role requires strong cross-functional leadership to coordinate internal teams, external partners, and clients while maintaining accountability for timelines, budgets, and deliverables. You will act as the primary point of contact for sponsors, driving communication, risk management, and issue resolution across global studies. In addition to project execution, you will contribute to business development activities, including bid defenses and client relationship expansion. This is a high-impact role suited to experienced clinical project leaders who thrive in fast-paced, global, and highly regulated environments.

Accountabilities

Serve as the primary liaison between sponsors and internal teams, ensuring clear communication and alignment with contractual and operational expectations. Oversee cross-functional clinical teams and external partners while ensuring compliance with GCP, SOPs, and regulatory requirements. Monitor project performance, maintain timelines, manage risks, and implement mitigation and contingency strategies as needed. Ensure financial oversight of assigned projects, including forecasting, budgeting, and performance tracking. Maintain project documentation systems, inspection readiness, and Trial Master File (TMF) compliance. Prepare and present project updates and reports to internal leadership and external clients. Support and mentor junior project team members and contribute to team development and training initiatives. Participate in bid defenses and support business development efforts by building strong client relationships and identifying growth opportunities.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Medicine, Pharmacy, Nursing, or related discipline (or equivalent education and experience). Extensive experience in clinical research, preferably within a CRO or global pharmaceutical environment. Strong knowledge of ICH-GCP guidelines, regulatory requirements, and clinical drug development processes. Proven experience managing complex, global, multi-sponsor clinical trials across multiple phases and therapeutic areas. Strong financial and operational project management skills, including budgeting and resource planning. Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management abilities. Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and deliver high-quality results in a fast-paced environment. Experience mentoring or managing project teams is considered an asset. Willingness to travel as required (approximately 25%).

Benefits

Competitive compensation package with eligibility for performance-based bonuses. Comprehensive health benefits including medical, dental, and vision coverage. Retirement savings plan with company match and employee stock purchase program eligibility. Flexible paid time off (PTO) and sick leave policies. Opportunities for career progression, leadership development, and continuous training. Exposure to global clinical trials and cutting-edge drug development programs.
