This is a full-time - onsite position.

The impact you’ll make:

Reporting to the Director, Distribution & Logistics, the Quality Specialist is responsible for the development and implementation of all Quality Control programs to ensure that products and components meet Saje’s quality expectations. Products are inspected against defined inspection criteria and released in a timely manner to ensure delivery of consistent quality, safe and regulatory compliant products to internal and external customers.

All Saje Team Members are responsible for contributing to Saje’s culture and maintaining a positive environment for themselves and their peers

What you'll do:

Quality Assurance & Compliance

    • Support day-to-day execution of the QC program across Vancouver and Toronto distribution centres.
    • Work with DC Operations to support compliance with quality and regulatory requirements.
    • Assist with product approval and release activities in collaboration with co-manufacturers.
    • Monitor quality activities within distribution and logistics operations.
    • Maintain cGMP documentation and support training tracking.
    • Perform inspections and quality checks on inbound, outbound, and stored goods.
    • Assist with internal and external audits, including documentation and corrective action follow-up.

Raw Material & Product Testing

    • Support raw material and finished goods verification testing in alignment with NHP, OTC, and product category requirements.
    • Coordinate sample submissions and support review of testing results with R&D and Sourcing.
    • Maintain the product retention sample program.
    • Support execution of long-term stability testing activities.
    • Assist with administration of the Product Shelf Life and Control System.

Issue Management & Continuous Improvement

    • Track quality performance metrics and escalate issues as required.
    • Support investigations into quality incidents and customer complaints using root cause analysis.
    • Document and follow up on corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
    • Identify recurring issues and suggest process improvements.
    • Assist with updates to SOPs and work instructions.
    • Support product hold and recall activities, including inventory coordination.

Documentation & Reporting

    • Maintain accurate quality records, logs, and documentation.
    • Support document control updates, including SOPs, work instructions, and forms.
    • Prepare routine quality reports for operational review.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

    • Work cross-functionally with Operations, Logistics, Supply Chain, and Customer Experience to address quality matters.
    • Provide day-to-day quality guidance to operational teams.
    • Support quality review of new processes, vendors, and products.

We'd love to hear from you if you have:

  • 2–4 years of experience in Quality Assurance and/or Quality Control within manufacturing, distribution, or regulated consumer goods environments.

  • Working knowledge of cGMPs and Quality Management Systems (QMS).

  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements for NHP, OTC, or other regulated product categories.

  • Experience performing inspections, quality checks, and documentation reviews in warehouse or production settings.

  • Exposure to quality investigations, non-conformances, and CAPA processes.

  • Experience supporting internal, third-party, or regulatory audits, including documentation preparation and follow-up activities.

  • Familiarity with raw material and finished goods testing processes, retention samples, stability testing, or shelf-life programs.

  • Experience coordinating with co-manufacturers or external testing laboratories is an asset.

  • Exposure to quality holds, product withdrawals, or recall-related activities is an asset.

  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.

  • Ability to follow established SOPs and contribute to process improvements.

  • Comfortable working cross-functionally with Operations, Supply Chain, R&D, and Customer Experience teams.

  • Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills.

The compensation range for this position is from $60,000– 70,000 annually. Base pay is dependent to market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity.
