Shipping - Team Lead Shipping Specialist / EVENING

Please note that this is a full-time temporary position scheduled from September 14, 2026 to November 27th, 2026. Depending on business needs and operational requirements, the duration of the assignment may be revised or extended.
Overview
Reporting to the Shipping Manager, the Shipping Specialist Team Lead is responsible for ensuring that customer orders are prepared, verified, and shipped accurately, efficiently, and on time. In addition to performing shipping activities, the incumbent provides day-to-day guidance and support to Shipping Specialists, assists with workflow coordination, and promotes compliance with company procedures, quality standards, and health and safety requirements.
Will perform other related duties as requested by his immediate superior, all in accordance with internal procedures and rules.
Responsibilities
Shipping Operations & Team Support – 90%
Ensure that customer orders are prepared and shipped accurately, efficiently, and on time. Provide day-to-day guidance, support, and training to Shipping Specialists. Assist in coordinating daily shipping activities and workflow priorities. Apply invoices and shipping labels to merchandise. Collect and verify that all items and goods are included in shipments. Prepare shipments and shipping documentation for transport companies. Load, unload, sort, and move goods manually or using material-handling equipment. At the verification station, ensure that documentation corresponds to the goods being shipped. Gather accessory boxes from the warehouse store and ensure they are placed with the correct orders. Attach, package, and wrap products for shipment. Assist in resolving shipping discrepancies and escalating issues when required. Support the onboarding and training of new team members. Promote adherence to shipping procedures, quality standards, and departmental objectives.
Health & Safety – 10%
Ensure compliance with company standards, operating procedures, and health and safety regulations. Promote safe work practices and immediately report unsafe conditions. Ensure work areas, shipping stations, and equipment are kept clean and organized at all times.

Qualifications (modified)
Minimum two (2) years of warehouse, shipping, or logistics experience. Previous experience acting as a lead hand, team lead, trainer, or informal leader is considered an asset. Strong understanding of shipping procedures, documentation, and warehouse operations.
