Role Description The Police Officer role is a full-time, on-site position based in the Regional Municipality of York, ON. Police Officers are responsible for responding to emergency and non-emergency calls, conducting patrols, enforcing laws and engaging with community members to foster safety and trust. Daily duties include investigating criminal incidents, collecting and preserving evidence, preparing reports, and providing testimony in court when required. The role also involves conducting traffic enforcement, supporting crime prevention initiatives, and collaborating with other law enforcement and community agencies. Police Officers are expected to adhere to professional standards, follow established policies and procedures, and participate in ongoing training to maintain operational readiness.
Qualifications Be a Canadian Citizen or permanent resident. Have a valid class G deivers licence Have standard first aid or emergency first aid cirtificate
Post secondary education Be physically and mentally able to perform the position Demonstrate good moral character Meet minimum vision and hearihg requirement Hold a valid OACP certificate
