Job Description We have an immediate opening for a Lead Hand, Components for the Component Services, Operations Department, Richmond. This position will report to the Supervisor, Component Services. The incumbent will be based in Richmond, BC.
Lead Hand, Components Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Leading and motivating Components team members
- Coordinating with other shops, managers & supervisors, product support reps and tech records personnel in order to prioritize, schedule and perform work in a timely manner
- Overseeing the work of team members to ensure the best use of talent and capabilities by matching appropriate skill levels to assigned tasks
- Ensuring a smooth transition of communication and priorities to/ from the related shops
- Adhering to health & safety policies and maintaining a clean shop working environment
- Monitor and address TAT and OTD issues
- Manage available manpower to maximize capacity for production requirements and provide opportunity for cross-training
- Provide instruction, guidance, advice and feedback as required
Applicable Qualifications, Attributes And Competencies Are
- Minimum 5 years’ experience working in the Airbus components and aviation
- Previous experience in a leadership role managing a team is preferred, and a strong aptitude for providing guidance, including the ability to build and motivate cohesive, effective teams
- Comprehensive understanding of quality assurance standards, and Company Policies
- Ability to work independently and effectively as a team leader
- Motivation and self-direction
- Must be able to produce high quality work in a timely manner
