Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, the Inventory Control Specialist plays a key role in our operations team, responsible for maintaining accurate inventory levels, organizing parts and materials, and ensuring production has the resources needed to meet demand. This hands-on role involves managing inventory in the warehouse and parts counter with a focus on accuracy, organization, and teamwork. The position is critical to ensuring production flows smoothly, with optimized inventory levels and efficient shipment processing.

This role is based in our Abbotsford location and this role is a fully onsite role.

Schedule:
Monday - Friday
7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

Requirements

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage all inventory control processes, ensuring accurate stock levels and tracking movements of parts, materials, and finished goods.
  • Implement and maintain effective inventory management systems, conducting audits, cycle counts, and reconciliations to prevent discrepancies.
  • Organize and label parts in the warehouse and parts counter for easy accessibility and efficient workflow.
  • Maintain organized and safe storage areas for raw materials and finished goods according to industry standards.
  • Pull and prepare parts and materials for production orders, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
  • Communicate with purchasing and production teams regarding inventory levels, stock issues, or potential impacts on production timelines.
  • Provide hands-on training and guidance to departments and Burnout Brands entities on inventory control best practices to improve accuracy, accountability, and process adherence.
  • Other duties assigned by your supervisor.

Education & Experience

  • High school diploma required; Bachelor’s in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience) preferred.
  • 2+ years of inventory management experience, preferably in manufacturing or remanufacturing.
  • Experience in automotive or transmission remanufacturing industries preferred.
  • Previous experience with ERP systems preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory control techniques, including cycle counting and stock auditing.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with other production teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other inventory management tools.
  • Ability to lift and move inventory items as needed.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in Canada.
