This position will supervise Team Members, maintain inventory and champion Asset Protection and Safety Management at the Marcelin Food Store encompassing sales of approximately 3 million.

What You Will Do:
- Demonstrate the behaviors and actions to support Lake Country Co-operative’s vision, mission, and safety principles to make a difference in members lives, with a strong customer focused approach.
- Provide and exceptional customer experience at all touch points through various communication channels.
- Assist in building and leading a high-performance team that delivers on budgeted targets by maximizing operational efficiency, providing quality service and delivering an exceptional customer experience.
- Supervise and motivate team members to meet productivity and customer service goals.
- Ensure the department is displaying, stocking, and rotating merchandise as per company policy and standard with a focus on maintaining image and brand standards.
- Ensure inventories are managed and protected in compliance with management standards and practices to maintain high levels of accuracy and minimal loss.
- Provide superior leadership to team members through coaching, mentoring, performance management and feedback.
- Become familiar with and adhere to Lake Country Co-op policies such as selling of age restricted items and all government regulations relating to tobacco, liquor, and lottery.
- Oversee the completion of daily reports, reconciliations, and purchases.
- Champion the Asset Protection and Safety Management systems, policies, procedures.
- Perform minor repairs to assets as required.
- Perform all other duties as required.

Who You Are: You are looking for a career opportunity in Retail Store Operations and Customer Service and:
- You have your high school diploma or equivalent; 2 + years experience in retail grocery operations, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role.
- You have experience with inventory management, merchandising, and team supervision.
- You have strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- You are proficient in basic math and comfortable using point of sale (POS) systems and store management software.
- You have knowledge of retail sales strategies, inventory control, and loss prevention practices.
- You have strong oral and written communication skills and communicate effectively using multiple communication channels.
- You are willing and able to obtain your Serve It Right certification.
- You must 19 years of age.
- You are available to work a flexible schedule; some evenings and weekends are required.
- You carry a valid driver’s license (class 5 minimum).
- You can fulfill physical job requirements including standing for entire shift and being able to lift 25-50 lbs.
