Purpose:

This position is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, support monthly and year-end closing processes, and assisting with reconciliations, reporting, and compliance activities.

Job Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain journal entries, accruals and account reconciliations involves moderately complex tasks within the company’s accounting function
• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes – ensure completeness and accuracy of financial data.
• Assist in preparation of financial statements and management reports
• Perform bank reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, and resolve reconciling items.
• Support compliance and tax-related activities, including assisting with sales tax filings.
• Maintain accurate fixed asset records, track asset additions and reconcile fixed-asset balances, if applicable.
• Assist with audits, providing documentation and schedules as needed.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements, support implementation of better controls and efficiencies, and ensure adherence to internal policies and accounting standards.

Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of experience in full-cycle accounting

• Experience with financial systems and ERP platforms (e.g., SAP).

• Bachelor’s education in Accounting or Finance; Enrollment in the CPA program is considered an asset.

• Collaborative communicator with the ability to communicate outside of finance.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; working knowledge of PowerPoint and Word.
