About the role
The Kenan Advantage Group Inc., (KAG), is North America’s largest tank truck transporter and logistics provider, delivering energy commodities, specialty products, merchant gases, and food products across the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
Reporting to the Terminal Manager or designate the Terminal Administrator provides support to the day-to-day Operation in the Mississauga Terminal.
This is a day shift position, Monday to Friday, from 9:00am to 5:30pm.
About the position:
- Assisting Safety, Fleet Maintenance, and Operations Team with administrative and secretarial duties. Including Safety Admin, Recruiting.
- Managing the reception area; Communication, Office supplies, Fuel Cards, Driver Paperwork/Files, Travel booking, Expenses
- Backing up to regional Safety Coordinator as required (e.g. assigning and setting up online driver training, data entry into Dispatch system, TMW for things such as qualifications, competency assessments, and job observations)
- Managing Driver Pay Portal, Investigating, and assisting with driver payroll inquiries
- Creating customer orders, compiling trips, entering drips, and monitoring Total Mail as a means of learning the TMW dispatch system
- Completing billing, invoicing, and customer requests as required.
What you bring:
- 1-2 years previous experience in a role with complimentary administrative and data entry duties
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality
- The confidence to see something, say something, and act on information received or observations made; someone who is not afraid to challenge the status quo or norms in the pursuit of the achievement of our overarching safety and training objectives
- Proficient computer skills in order to use software such as Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Knowledge of the dispatch system, TMW, is an asset
