Infrastructure (Water & Sewer) Wheel Loader Operator
About the role
Thompson Construction Group has immediate openings for Water and Sewer Wheel Loader Operators supporting our Infrastructure division’s land development and subdivision projects in the Edmonton area.
Responsibilities:
- Move pipe and materials around site as required by crew activities
- Load and unload materials on trucks
- Provide sand and aggregate to crew
- Participate in daily safety meetings and adhere to all company safety policies and procedures
- Report all incidents, near misses, and equipment damage to site supervision
- Maintain effective communication with supervisors and crew members
- Work collaboratively as part of a construction crew to meet project timelines
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Wheel loader operator
- Reliable transportation to and from site
- Ability to work extended hours, including up to 12 hours per day, Monday to Saturday
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License is considered an asset
- Ability to perform physically demanding work in an outdoor construction environment
